Rockstar and Take-Two give the Nov 12 date for digital preloads but no confirmed unlock hour, so we don't print one. We'll update this page on Nov 12.
How to preload
- Pre-order the digital version on PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store. Rockstar says digital pre-orders can preload from Nov 12.
- Bought a box? It holds a download code, not a disc. Redeem the code as soon as you get it. Rockstar says codes redeemed before launch begin preloading on Nov 12.
- Turn on automatic downloads. (Console setting names vary; we'll add step-by-step screenshots from PS5 and Xbox before publishing.)
- Clear storage. See below.
- Preloading doesn't let you play early. The game unlocks on Nov 19.
How big is GTA 6?
Reported, not official: about 210 GB for the PS5 Standard Edition. This comes from the X account @PlaystationSize (Oct 27), as covered by GameSpot and Game Rant. Neither Rockstar nor the PlayStation Store has published a size. The Xbox size is unknown. Plan for more than 210 GB of free space to be safe.
Editions and price (official)
Standard $79.99. Ultimate $99.99. Digital pre-orders also get one month of GTA+.
What about PC?
No PC version has been announced. Rockstar lists only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. We'll update this if that changes.

What is confirmed, and what is not
